Stage Photography Services...

Ok... Lets deal with the big question first...

"Why should we get George in when Uncle Billy takes our shots..."

Well here's a list.

  • Ease : You ask me... I get on with it... No fuss...

  • Quality : Because I'm better is the main reason here. I've over 5 years experience photographing live performances. I've also got another 20 years experience on the stage which has given me a great eye for shooting stage productions. I can second guess most actors on stage as to what's going to happen next and be there in the right angle to get that shot. I've the experience of seeing many shows and knowing what is going to happen next also.

  • Security : If requested I can show *ALL* images before leaving the venue, and I have been cleared at the highest security levels in the past for venues. This is very handy for performances which have children in the cast and scenes of a "dodgy" nature if ladies and gentlemen are not wearing as many clothes as one would like. The images I take can be vetted for peace of mind in those cases.

  • Cost : My Stage photography is very fair in costing. You pay "per CD" to each member of cast. So no matter how small the group is or how large, the cost is spread fairly. (See *Note below.)

  • Value : You get ALL the photographs of the production (and headshots if required) on a CD for each member of the cast.

  • Professionalism : Have proper "headshots" to meet your audience. There's nothing worse than walking into a theatre to see printed photographs of cast standing in front of a wall taken with "put in your pocket" compact Digital Camera. Already the audience get a bad impression of your Group. I can bring my portable studio with me and arrive an hour early to the Dress to take these headshots. Then give you a CD or email them to you that very night so you can print them.

  • Bums of Seats : Once I shoot the show/performance and a couple of hours later, a good selection of the shots will be put on Facebook and my Stage Photography site. ( www.StagePhotography.co.uk) This is a fantastic way to get your show out to even more people and it has proved that once the photographs have been up on my site, more people come to the production. You are spreading the word out to more people which is always good.

  • World Wide Web : Yes, friends and family from all over the world can see your performance from the photos on my site time and time again.

  • New Members : Yes, you can get new members to the group, people will review shows put on by groups whom I have photographed and based on that come along to your next show. Always a good idea.

  • Copyright Issues : I keep copyright of all my images (unless agreed on) only to make sure no one uses them against the wished of those in the images. However you can email them about to friends and family, post them on your website, and even use your own photos for advertising your own future productions and group. You can print them out, put them on facebook, anything really except sell them on. If you have any questions about this please ask. (See *Note below.)

(*NOTE : Not many Professional Photographers do that. I saw at one school production of "A Mid Summer Nights Dream" they got a normal "pro" photographer in to do the photography and they were charging 10 pounds per printed photograph! Then charge 50 pounds or more if you want the image on CD to print yourself.)

  • Presents : Yes there's more... Presents.. Do you want a "collage" print of the show for the director? Perhaps little printed off shots of cast and crew to give to them as pressies? No problem, you can do it yourself or just tell me what you want and I'll arrange it. I can even arrange mugs and things printed, but that will be by a 3rd party so costs will occur.

  • Set Design and Research : Are you looking to put on a show which I have photographed already with an other group? Well looking through the photos on my site can give you all sorts of information about the set design, costumes and even props. A great research tool.

  • And Last of All : It really gives people a buzz when they see themselves in my photos. It really can lift a production ready for the first night knowing they look fantastic, even if the Dress was a shambles which happens...

So give me a call and book now for your next production.

I am usually active round the following areas : High Wycombe, Marlow, Thame, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Slough, Old Windsor and Camberly to name a few. But anywhere round this area is fine for travelling.

I also get as far as Birmingham, Manchester, Stirling, Norwich so nothing is too much as long as it's arranged in advance.

Simple and Easy... Much like me...
