THE HARLOTS OF HENLEY - Based on the “Pirates of Penzance” by Gilbert and Sullivan, adapted by George Riddell.

Throughout my Amdram stage life, every time I’ve done or been involved with a production of Pirates, the women have always complained about the men getting the best songs. This version does that. Total role reversal where the men sing the ladies songs and the ladies the men.

This is a total cross of G&S, Benny Hill and Carry On Films in one production. It needs very strong character skills and a lot of creative dancing and staging to pull this off.

The music is mostly the same, but some songs are updated to make them sexy and danceable.
